We think we know. But more often than not, we just repeat what worked once. Or something that sounds beautiful. Or something that allows you not to change anything. We call it intuition. But this is a survival algorithm built into the body, anchored by pain, fear, and the desire to be accepted.
Empathy is not intuition.
It is important to distinguish: empathy is not intuition. Empathy is the ability to feel others, to integrate into their field, to guess their needs, anxieties, desires. This is a fine-tuning to the external. And intuition is an adjustment to internal recognition, which does not depend on opinions, fields and tones.
Everything that is described in modern esotericism as “intuitive knowledge” is almost always empathy, the work of mirror neurons, the ability to pick up the field of another. That’s why it’s so pleasant, easy, and “resonates” — it’s reading, not recognizing.
Empathy can lead you astray if you’re used to guessing and matching. Real intuition often goes against empathy — it’s not sweet, it’s not convenient, it’s not approved. Empathy is not about kindness. This is a predator’s instinct: to sense where vulnerability is, where the entry point is, where the field can be captured. She can be subtle, affectionate, even loving — but in fact she serves survival, not the truth.
Where is the failure
Intuition is not a voice. And not an image. And not a feeling. It’s a sharp recognition. Not an explanation, not logic, not a pretentious “I feel that way.” It’s like the whole space inside is being rearranged to fit one point—and you know for sure, but you can’t tell why.
But to distinguish this, you need to go through the main horror.:
90% of what you thought you were is not you.
You’re not intuitive, you’re noisy. It is filled with other people’s desires, other people’s slogans, other people’s injuries, other people’s ways. That’s why you don’t hear. Not because there is no intuition, but because everything is too loud.
Body Intuition
Intuition always starts in the body. Even to words, to thoughts, to awareness. My heart skipped a beat, my breathing froze, my skin tensed— my body already knows. It does not seek meaning. It simply cannot step into a place where there is no truth. True intuition is always physiological first. In my stomach, in my fingers, in my ribs. Because the body doesn’t cheat. It doesn’t want to be accepted. It just lives.
Collective intuition is also a trap.

When everyone says at the same time, “that’s right,” “that’s so true,” “it feels right,” it’s almost always not an intuition, but a field. The collective unconscious. Strong, viscous, convincing. It doesn’t lie, but it’s not yours. It’s not the voice of depth, it’s the gravitational force of someone else’s wave.
Real intuition almost always goes against the majority. Not because it’s a protest. It’s because she’s from a different register. From the inside, not from the field.
Voice of trauma ≠ intuition
Sometimes what appears to be intuition is actually the voice of pain. The body whispers, “don’t go there,” but not because it’s a lie, but because it’s already hurt there. This is a protection mechanism, not recognition. It’s almost impossible to tell the difference. One compresses. The other one opens it. One takes you away. The second one exposes.
Where is the truth
Intuition defies appeal. She can’t be called. She doesn’t come when you’re desperate or on schedule. She’s like a flash: she comes when you’re ready to abandon the script. When you don’t ask, “What’s right?” but see what’s there. It’s not a choice. This is recognition.
Real intuition does not bring relief. It often brings horror. Because it’s always a verb. It is not an image or a sign. It’s an internal act: that’s it, and now what are you going to do about it? Most often — without words. You just know what to do. Or you’re already doing it, not knowing where it came from. Not a plan. Not an analysis. And recognition is in action.
That’s the horror: you’re not there. The wrong one. That’s not it. And then it won’t be convenient. Because the script is over. There’s only you left. Think slowly, do it quickly. As he said.
The myth of Cassandra
Intuition is not only a gift. It’s often a curse. Like Cassandra, who knew, but no one heard her. Or like Tiresias, who lost his sight to see the truth. True recognition almost always leads to loneliness. Because while everyone sees the cozy, you see the seam. Gap. And you can’t close your eyes.
Why did everyone get lost
Because everyone is not looking for intuition, but for confirmation of what they have already chosen. And everyone is ready to believe in any “sign” if it saves them from a radical shift.
Intuition is not something that says “everything is fine.” Intuition says: everything is not as you think. But you already know that.
And if you have reached this point, then the delusion ends. Even if nothing is clear. Because now you don’t call for confirmation anymore.
You just know. And that’s enough.
If you’re still asking how to distinguish intuition from trauma, you’re not distinguishing.
Because when the body tells the truth, it doesn’t ask.
It does. Or he’s dying.
It is necessary to remove even the hint that discrimination is an achievable skill. It’s not a skill. This is deprivation.
