Intolerance

Intolerance always claims it protects.

But protection turns into exclusion.

Intolerance promises clarity.

But clarity erases the complexity of life.

Intolerance calls itself strength.

But strength hides its fear of difference.

Intolerance swears it defends tradition.

But tradition becomes a weapon against the living.

Intolerance says it shields community.

But community shrinks until it suffocates.

Intolerance presents itself as truth.

But truth becomes only repetition of prejudice.

Intolerance insists it speaks for the people.

But the people are silenced inside its voice.

Intolerance invokes purity.

But purity is nothing but sterilized emptiness.

Intolerance demands obedience.

But obedience is fear dressed as loyalty.

Intolerance declares unity.

But unity is built by cutting out every other.

Intolerance claims necessity.

But necessity is always chosen by those in power.

Intolerance insists it gives order.

But order is carved out of violence.

Intolerance rejects anomaly.

But anomaly exposes its hollow center.

Intolerance masks itself with morality.

But morality dissolves when it cannot bear a question.

Intolerance offers safety.

But safety locks itself into a prison.

Intolerance feeds on silence.

But silence is the language of collapse.

Intolerance proclaims eternity.

But every intolerance dies the moment its name is forgotten.
